Corporate Train-the-Trainer
Over the years, the Highlands Company has contracted with a number of America’s largest companies to develop and provide multi-user applications of the Highlands Ability Battery. The applications have been tailored to the special needs and perceptions of each company. Some companies have utilized half-day group workshops. Other companies have developed programs that extended over a whole day, or over two days or even longer.
Cisco Systems, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, JPMorganChase, Cott Beverages, Coca Cola, Bell South and Charles Schwab & Co. are some of the corporations which have utilized the services of the Highlands Company in multi-user programs.
All corporate programs begin with administration of the Highlands Ability Battery to a designated number of company employees—usually 10-14. The Battery consists of nineteen different worksamples, each assessing a different individual ability. In some companies, all the participants take the Battery at the same time and place. In others, the Battery is completed by the participants over a specified period of days.
Historically, each corporate participant has received an individual thirty-page report which displays his or her score on each worksample and explains the significance of each score in the life and work of the participant. The report is followed within a day or two by a personalized two-hour feedback conducted by a trained and licensed Highlands affiliate. Following the individual feedbacks, the participants attend a group feedback or workshop in which the results are placed in wider context by a Highlands Affiliate trained in explaining how knowledge of individual abilities can benefit the group and the company.
In recent months, several client companies have asked the Highlands Company to train company employees to administer and interpret the Battery. In response to these requests, the Highlands Company has created the Highlands Train-The-Trainer Program. Under this program, Highlands Company Affiliates will train corporate employees in the administration and interpretation of the Highlands Ability Battery. The training will consist of: completion of the Battery itself by each trainee; instruction in the concept, definition and measurement of innate individual abilities; attendance at a seminar relating the Highlands Battery reports to company objectives; interpretation of Highlands Battery charts and graphs; training in the conduct of company workshops promoting group coordination and enterprise through an understanding of individual abilities; and general exposure to the utilization of Highlands principles in company plans and programs.
The Highlands Company is prepared to refer any company wishing to undertake the Train-the Trainer program to a Highlands Affiliate near the company's office.
