Adult Assessment & Feedback
An adult who completes the Highlands Ability Battery receives a thirty-page report and an individual feedback by a trained Highlands Affiliate. The report and feedback focus on the relationship between the individual’s innate abilities and his life and work. Most adults have never had an assessment of their natural abilities. They have moved into and out of roles and jobs without the benefit of a comprehensive abilities assessment.
Adults are often surprised by their reports, which include an individual profile and bar chart.

It's clear that people are happiest and most productive when they understand and use their abilities to the fullest. The Highlands Company has identified a number of basic ability patterns. Each pattern is a combination of some of the abilities in that individual. One of these ability patterns, for example, is described by Highlands as Detail Oriented/Administrator. An individual with this pattern scores relatively high in the Generalist/Specialist range, high in Concept Organization, Tonal Memory, Verbal Memory, Visual Speed, Visual Accuracy and Observation, but low in Idea Productivity.
During the individual feedback, the Highlands Affiliate integrates the individual's abilities profile into an analysis which Highlands calls the Individual’s Four Dimensions. This analysis shows how the individual's abilities relate to each other. The analysis is intended to lead the individual to the best answers to the following questions:
What learning/work environment am I best suited for?
How do I take in new information most easily?
How do I solve new problems most effectively?
How do I communicate best with others?
The answers to these questions enable the individual to make the most effective impact on his family, his friends and his associates, both at leisure and work. The function of the Highlands Ability Battery and the individual feedback is to help the adult to find the answers to these questions.
