The Highlands Ability Battery contains nineteen different worksamples, each assessing a different individual ability. No one individual scores equally well on all worksamples. For example, an individual may score high in Idea Productivity but low in Number Memory. In each individual, abilities form a pattern or “cluster” which is unique to him or her.
Over the years, the Highlands Company has determined that a trained specialist is needed to interpret the scores achieved by each individual. The Company has trained more than 200 Affiliates throughout the English-speaking world to act as certified interpreters of the Battery.
The Company’s Affiliates have all been trained to do one-on-one feedback with individuals. Most Affiliates have also been trained to do group feedback among a number of people with similar backgrounds.
Before conducting individual feedback, the Affiliate receives a copy of the individual’s bar chart and report. Before conducting a group feedback or workshop, the Affiliate also receives a Group Profile and Frequency Distribution Report showing the distribution of scores on each worksample among the participants.
